Meet The Team

Hi! My name is Alyssa Kuang and I am a senior at Torrey Pines High School. As the president and founder of the San Diego Youth Public Service Institute, I started this club with the goal of promoting awareness and tackling issues ranging from COVID-19 relief to the worsening homeless problem in our immediate community. Learning and spreading awareness about these growing issues is core to the club, and I aim to continue addressing these issues with my club members and staying involved with the underrepresented.

Hi! I'm Grace He, a senior at Westview High School. I'm the vice president of YPSI and I have played an integral part in YPSI since its founding. Taking an active role in community events and addressing injustice in my community is something that I am extremely passionate about, and I have been expanding this interest through YSPI. I'm interested in arts, business and economics, and combining this interest with civil rights in order to take an active part in my local community.

I am a 11th grader at Del Norte High School. In my spare time, I enjoy video editing and music composition. I joined the Youth Public Service Institute to help make a change in my community, raising awareness and volunteering to contribute to eliminating local issues.

My name is Gavin Wu, I go to Del Norte High School and I'm a junior. I like playing video games and I joined this club to help my community.

I am a junior at Del Norte High School. I'm an aspiring programmer and white-hat hacker interested in anything related to Computing. I joined this club in hopes of using my skillset to help others in my community.

I am an 11th grader at Canyon Crest Academy. In my free time, I golf and program. I joined this club to help bring awareness to social issues in the community and confront these issues with plans made by this club.

Hello, I'm Daniel Xu, a senior at The Bishop's School. I enjoy math, Latin, philosophy, and linguistics, to name a few. I joined because I want to understand more deeply the problems in the world around me, and help out along the way.

My name is Evan Luo, and I am an 11th-grade student at Canyon Crest Academy. I have interests in math, computers, coding, nature, and piano. I joined this club to make a positive impact on my local community and contribute to solving the homeless problem that I have seen firsthand in San Diego. I hope that through this club I will be able to help the lives of those in need and raise awareness surrounding the homeless problem.
